How long does the analysis take? When will I receive the results?

After placing your order, you can track the order status in Megalab.

Sample submission

Once your sample(s) have been sent off to the lab, the order status will change from DRAFT to IN TRANSIT.

Shipping within the United Kingdom should take about 5 days. Overseas shipping takes longer.

Your shipping provider should be able to provide you with delivery updates.

Analysis process

After your sample(s) have reached the lab, the order status changes to IN THE LAB and remains so until the analysis process is completed. After that, the order status is updated to DONE and you can view the analysis results.

Regardless the type of sample and analysis, the analysing process takes about 1–2 weeks. For our lab analyses, required chemicals and lab consumables are sourced from suppliers, which can have an impact on turnaround times. In times of high order volumes, the turnaround time may extend beyond 4 weeks.

If the order status IN THE LAB has not changed for more than 10 working days, please contact our support team and we will update you on the progress of your order. Depending on the analysis, we may also be able to provide an interim report for you to make any urgent lime or fertiliser decisions.
